Sabrina Grover

Sabrina Grover returns to Northwest Model United Nations as Secretary-General of NWMUN-Portland 2016. She previously served on the staff of NWMUN-Seattle for three years, most recently as Assistant Secretary-General for Logistics in 2014. Sabrina has been involved with Model United Nations since 2006 in a variety of roles; she previously served for five years as the Secretary-General of the Calgary High School Model UN, as well as serving as a staff member at National Model United Nations - New York since 2010. Sabrina graduated from the University of Calgary with a BA in Political Science and a minor in Economics. She currently works in external and government relations in Calgary.

Amanda Wong
Director-General

Amanda Wong has been involved with Model UN in various capacities for over 10 years. She returns for a second year as Director-General of NWMUN-Portland; she previously was Director-General of NWMUN-Portland 2015 and was also a committee staff member at four previous NWMUN conferences. Amanda has served as DG at the Canadian International Model United Nations and Committee Staff for NMUN. Amanda graduated with a BA in Political Science from Simon Fraser University and is currently completing an MSc in Environmental Science. Amanda has worked in Human Resources for 5 years in the public and private sector and she is pursuing a specialization in conflict resolution.

Sara Leister
Chief of Staff

Sara Leister is Chief of Staff for NWMUN-Portland 2016, continuing her work as Chief of Staff after serving in that role in 2015. She brings six years of Model UN staffing experience, including at National Model United Nations - New York and five previous NWMUN conferences. Sara graduated from Western Washington University in 2011 with a degree in international relations and economics, where she spent two years serving in leadership for the International Affairs Association. Currently Sara works at VisionFund International, the microfinance arm of World Vision.

Doug Siegel
Assistant Secretary-General for Logistics

Doug Siegel is excited to be joining the Executive Secretariat of Northwest Model United Nations-Portland 2016 as Assistant Secretary-General for Logistics. He previously served as ASG-L for NWMUN-Seattle 2015. Doug previously participated as a delegate for three NWMUN conferences before joining the staff. Doug graduated from the University of Washington with a major in Political Science. He currently works for Microsoft in Seattle, where he manages marketing events.

Tristan Rightnar
Assistant Secretary-General for Conference Services

Tristan Rightnar has been involved with Model UN for nearly seven years. He joins NWMUN-Portland as Assistant Secretary-General for Conference Services, bringing with him the experience of working in conference services for two years at National Model United Nations - New York, as well as many regional conferences. Tristan graduated with a BA in European History from the University of California, Riverside as well as an Elementary Teaching Credential. Tristan has been a Kindergarten Teacher in Rancho Mirage, California for the last two years.
